本讨论班目前主要参考书籍为《Statistical Models》(A. C. Davison,2008)，开展目的是为新生补充研究生阶段所需的统计方面的基本知识。
网络分析讨论班
本讨论班讲授的主要内容是《Social and Economic Network》，旨在让大家对社会网络和经济网络分析有一个全面的认识，为理解和分析网络奠定理论基础。主要研究内容包括随机网络模型、网络结构分析、网络传播与渗透阈值、博弈论等。

Stochastic Models
In previous chapters, we focused on independent and identically distributed observation sequences, but in this one, we focus on observation data with complex dependency. We'll start with discrete-time Markov processes and then move on to continuous-time Markov processes. The models are then extended to more complicated indexing sets, particularly Markov random fields. It relies heavily on the fundamental notion of graph theory. We'll also go over a particular instance called the multivariate normal distribution, which is a useful model for data having several response values.

Diffusion through Networks
In this chapter, we discuss several different models of diffusion processes on networks. We will begin with a basic transmission model and then move on to some variations on it, such as SIR/SIS diffusion models. Besides, there are some related questions about navigation on networks, or following paths in a network to find specific nodes.
